Thanksgiving.......the aftermath

I had a very enjoyable dinner with my uncle and cousin at a lovely restaurant on the Hudson River in Weeboken, New Jersey, with an absolutely stunning view of Manhattan. I saw where the twin towers of the World Trade Center used to be. The empire state building with its steeple lit in autumn colors. Incredibly beautiful at night with all the lights twinkling and blinging like millions of tiny diamonds.
After a wonderful dinner, we drove through times square, 5th avenue, 7th avenue and all the other avenues that tourists flock to New York throughout the year to see. The weather was somewhat warmer so lots of people were walking. New York is a one-of-a-kind city. It was interesting to learn that the state (NY) makes millions of dollars from tourism every year. Are you paying attention Johannesburg??
Well.......they say there's no where like the Big Apple!!

Ja, New York is a great place to be and visit. Though people who work there tell me its a bit rough over time. Have you visited the East Village yet (lower east side of Manhattan) - its quite ín and happening there, I believe.

Hi there Thomas,
Thank you for your comments as always. I stay in the east village. My friend lives there with her husband and kids so I spend most of my free time there. It's wonderful!!
