And the beat goes on....

It has been a really long day and I am suffering the effects of information overload. Yesterday I was unsure about what I would get out of this programme. Today, it is quite clear that it is an amazing resource. I have worked before, and it was difficult making the transition to an academic environment. Now, I can appreciate the importance of having a 'bridge' to the workplace. Little things I would not have paid attention to, become significant when you realise the huge difference between academics and navigating in the workplace. Things I took for granted within an academic setting translate into different things in the workplace. Interesting...... Let us keep this as food for thought.

I learnt a very interesting and unusual word today - boustrophedon. Ever heard the word? It means to move like an ox drawn cart (ploughing) in a backwards and forwards motion. Look it up in your on-line Webster's Dictionary. Can you think of any occasion to use this word? Let me know if you think of something.
