Practice Makes Perfect

It is almost three weeks now since the WOW programme ended. At first, I was apprehensive that I would soon loose all I had learnt, or worse still not have the opportunity (in the immediate future) to apply them in practical terms. As I reflect on these past weeks and events that have taken place, I realise that life is unpredictable. You make a plan or multiple plans, and sometimes you can predict possible outcomes. Other times the unexpected happens. That is what I love about life, it keeps on throwing challenges and opportunities at you. No lesson learnt in life is useless, there is always one or more ocassions to apply what you have learnt.

After our internship programme, I felt a little at a loss because the intense energy generated as a group during the five weeks was no longer there. Before going into the course, I had reached a fork in the road, I was at a cross-road. The most pressing question was ''which direction?'' Now, a new challenge/opportunity has been thrown my way and as I grasp it with both hands, and with mounting excitement, I also am not quite certain what the outcomes will be. Where will it lead me? I cannot answer that question right away, but if you keep me company on this journey, we'll find out together.

I am very happy that despite the pressure I subjected myself to in applying for the WOW programme, I was able to complete the five weeks. It was one of the best decisions I took this year. They say practice makes perfect (and perfect is the enemy of good (sans Roy Blumenthal), so I aim to practice what has been preached by all our guest lecturers, team mates and programme administrators. Viva WOW Internship and Training Programme!!

Dear Ijeoma, I also believe that whatever you have learnt in life will be useful for you in one way or another. There isn't something that is useless or without any implementation.
With regards to your participation in the WOW training programme, I think that you did a great job. And I am happy that you feel fulfilled after these five weeks of intensive training.
In fact, I've never seen somebody with so much enthusiasm, energy and focus in any programme as you! That's why you fully deserve those awards that you received. Besides, you are the only one that is still so active with blogging among all of us!
Keep the energy going. You've got people out there who support you!
