Did you know that........

A recent news clip by Amy Brooke at E-news primetime last Thursday, revealed (through her investigations) that facebook one of the most popular websites for keeping in touch with friends, has become a major problem for employers.
Apparently, employees spend twenty minutes everyday chatting with friends instead of doing their work.
My friend Lara told me that her mother works at a school where students are perpetually on facebook, they barred the site but students found ways to access it.
I am interested in how employers will address this potential ''problem''.

Please pay less attention to this kind of reports. They are only sensationalist and anti-worker. In the end, all these people do the job they are supposed to do. They said the same about smokers, how ofen they take a break and lose time on the job. And yet, economies with many smokers still made money!

I suppose so. Afterall what is twenty minutes in an eight-hour day? Employers want to milk every little second out of their employees.

Hmmm... facebook. Well I don't use it at work. I find I can waste a lot of time on it. I can see how it would be a problem in schools- esp during computer lessons. But in the workplace - well, I think most work places treat their employees like adults. They can do what they like with their time, as long as they get the job done.

Yes, I also think that these people exaggerate about that!
There are much bigger problems at schools (or at organisations) than facebook links, I am sure!
Internet as a whole might be a problem of time at schools (or at different companies), not just facebook.
