A new year, new perspectives, a fresh start.....

I like the beginning of a new year, I always feel rejuvenated, motivated, hopeful. And this year, I feel even more hopeful than usual for some inexplicable reason. It could be because I finished all the things I started in 2005 last year. And I added on a few things I had not planned and completed them as well. Now I am ready to move on to the next step.

Reading my profile just now, I see that I have grown so much mentally, psychologically and spiritually over these past three years. I have evolved and I am still evolving. That is what I love best about being alive.......the possibilities. As one matures, the possibilities increase (I believe) because there is the advantage of experience, lessons learned and knowledge gained, which hopefully leads to better choices.

This new year, I would like to use what I have learned academically and from the 'university of life' to explore the possibilities out there. My fields of study - heritage studies and environmental policy are relatively new areas that will continue to grow and right now employment opportunities in the sector are few but there is room for growth.

So, this is a definitive year for me in terms of career choices and other more personal choices. Wish me luck!!
