Yesterday was a low-performance day for me. I was physically present at our sessions but mentally absent. I can appreciate why the coordinators of the WOW programme insist that students have rounded off on their academic obligations before enrolling in the course. It is intense! Physically and particularly mentally. In our session with Roy Blumenthal yesterday on ''How to unleash your Creativity'', he spoke about eating right, exersising and sleeping well, as it improved performance and output. Clearly, I need to improve greatly in that area so as not to feel like a dish rag now and again. Well, this is what to expect in the work place, some days will be low-performance days (hopefully fewer days) while others will be high performance. The trick is to be able to be productive under pressure without getting burnt!!

I know what your are talking about. I learnt all of these things: sleeping properly, eating properly, hiking, gym etc. Some MBAs have modules on healthy living! If you want to have fun a work, you will always be under pressure and short of time. But ja, you did not show that you were absent. I feel you alwasy have good energy, even tired or bored!
Thomas,
Thank you for your kind words. I have felt very much below par this week. You're certainly spot on about always being under pressure and short of time. I usually do quite well under pressure, but it's a killer!!
